Desire, Discipline

My name is Brandy Tate. I’m a life-long resident here in Kings Mountain, NC.  I’m married to Maurice Tate and we have three boys (Isaiah, Silas, & Seth).  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education from North Carolina Central University and currently working on my Master Degree in Early Education at East Carolina University.   I’m presently employed with Gaston County Schools as a Kindergarten Teacher at H.H. Beam Elementary School. My ambition as kindergarten teacher and Program Coordinator here at K.M. Elite is to help nurture and educate our young ones during the early stages of their development that will translate to positive and productive futures.

 

I have previously owned and operated the International Gates of Dance School in Kings Mountain, NC for 9 years before closing to concentrate on school and my career interest. In my duration as owner, my sister, Roxanne Brown (Former Carolina Top Cat and Charlotte Bobcat Cheerleader) and I taught over 100 children in the various dance specializations such as ballet, jazz, cheer-dance, lyrical, and other dance areas. We won numerous competition awards, participated in community programs, and community parades during my tenure.

 

My passion is to coordinate activities and events for our program to help shape and motivate one’s interest towards success. I’m elated about this opportunity to incorporate my administrative skills in developing programs helping build the future into the lives of our young people.
