3 D's of Success
Desire, Discipline
Determination
KM Elite Club (KMEC) was founded in 2007 by Maurice & Brandy Tate, initially as a summer-only basketball and mentor program with 13 participants.
KMEC has steadily grown each year and has now branched out to provide additional recreational
& educational youth services for over 300 children.
In August of 2009, the KMEC Board of Directors was established in order to meet the needs of the children in the surrounding communities and facilitate partnerships with existing agencies
and the faith-based community.
KMEC became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and was legally incorporated in May of 2012.

About Us
Our Story
Through our existence, we have provided a safe haven for our children by allowing them to be a part of a positive program that helps build their competitive nature in education, sports, and most importantly life. We will continue to assist our community by offering programs that lower juvenile delinquency, increase education awareness, promote family traits, and increase positive character traits in order to help our youth & their families reach their highest potential. The program participants are not only educated but have also adopted model character traits and the KMEC 3-D's of success: Desire, Discipline, & Determination. Through these initiatives, our aspiration will continue to cover our community gaps for all at-risk youth and other participants by establishing and networking with educators, behavioral specialists, counselors, recreational leaders, church leaders, and other social/civic groups to address our social and educational deficiencies.
